CPU (or Compressed PolyUrethane) is the new reference technology for competition bumpers.

🏆 The IWF now uses CPUs for their official competitions due to the advantages it offers over rubber.

Advantages of CPU over rubber:

- Minimum rebound: SHA Durometer 90-95

- Space Saving : Because of their high density, CPU plates present 20% less thickness than natural rubber = more space on the sleeves and less offset on the outside = more stable and compact movements.

- Vibrant and striking colors = Prolonged aesthetics and a fabulous look.

- Tolerance : +/- 1% of the predicted weight.  

- Insert : 50.4-51mm Steel Insert  

Flooring : Because of its low rebound, it’s recommended to use on 30mm rubber tiles minimum to protect your floor and your barbell when dropping the weight.
